Why I choose applied communication sciences major at UPH as a stepping stone for my career? Because, communication plays a very important role in everyday life. Communication is an important medium for the formation and personal development for social contact. Through a growing communication and learning, find ourselves and others, we hang out, friends, enemies, loved or love others, to hate others, and so on. In simple communication can be defined as the process of transferring the contents of a message icon-mine from the communicator to the communicant. When someone speaks, and his friend did not listen to him, there is no division and no communication. When the first people to write in English and the second person can not read English, then there is no division and no communication.
    
Science communications in UPH has many advantages. For example, people who are interested in journalism will be concentrates on preparing students to work professionally in searching, organizing and disseminating information through electronic media such as TV, computer (Internet), radio, and print media such as newspaper, magazine, etc. The curriculum includes News Gathering Techniques, Interview Techniques, investigative Reporting, TV Production Lab., Radio Production Lab., feature Writing, and Video Editing. This concentration also offers a dual degree program in which students have to learn in half 4 FMU + 4 semesters at QUT. Curriculum refers to the international curriculum of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. People who are interested in Integrated Marketing Communications will focused on the creation, management, and coordination of the entire corporate marketing communication tools such as: advertising, PR, events, sponsorship and personal selling will lead to the development of a successful brand in the market.
The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of industries such as Advertising Media Planning, Integrated Marketing Communication, Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Communication and persuasion, and Brand Communication Strategy. Graduates not only can adapt to the needs of employment, but also able to create their own business, such as opening the advertising agency or production house, or become an event organizer. Subjects taught include Advertising Copywriting, Advertising Management, Research Methodology and IMC.

The programs are also designed to suit the needs of industry and the professions, innovative curriculum with a balanced combination of theory and practice in the field study, seminars, workshops, laboratory work, internships and employment practices. Partners with national and foreign universities are also built through global strategic cooperation, including in the development of curriculum, dual degree programs, exchange of students and lecturers to another countries such as USA, Germany, Singapore, Netherlands and Japan, as well as internships and practical work with corporations international and multinational companies in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Lecturers UPH Master's and Doctoral graduates from leading universities nationally and internationally, professionals in various fields, and supported guest lecturers from overseas partners as well as teaching and learning facilities at UPH available information, including laboratories, digital libraries, and art activities and sports.

UPH provides the best communication program and the UPH lecturers are experts and skilled practitioners and their emphasis on practice-based curriculum in which students are given a direct path to apprenticeship training and access to corporate networks internationally and in Indonesia and the facilities are used to support programs on campus such as TV production lab, radio production lab, audio-visual room, photography lab, computer lab, language lab and public relations lab.
